Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at the North Las Vegas Jail. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of patients
- Obtain history and perform a physical examination to determine patient health status
- Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans
- Identify patient health conditions and prescribe treatment based on diagnosis
- Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
- Admit and discharge patients from all units in the facility
- Conduct rounds
- Schedule and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures
- Current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in NV
- Current DEA registration
- Appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician
- Valid CPR card
- Minimum of 1 year experience in primary care with correctional healthcare preferred
- Prescriptions free of charge through our health plan
