Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at the North Las Vegas Jail. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of patients
  • Obtain history and perform a physical examination to determine patient health status
  • Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans
  • Identify patient health conditions and prescribe treatment based on diagnosis
  • Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
  • Admit and discharge patients from all units in the facility
  • Conduct rounds
  • Schedule and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures
Qualifications
  • Current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in NV
  • Current DEA registration
  • Appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician
  • Valid CPR card
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in primary care with correctional healthcare preferred
