Sanitation Technician

The Sanitation Technician plays a crucial role within a designated team, responsible for executing various labor tasks throughout the facility. Responsibilities encompass sanitation, janitorial duties, and equipment operation, ensuring adherence to operational standards, product quality, and continuous improvement.

This position requires effective communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster teamwork to achieve site objectives.

• Carry out all assigned tasks within a designated area or line.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures for safety.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Identify and address root causes of operational issues.
• Implement corporate Food Safety and Sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team.
• Assist in managing waste and recycling processes.
• Participate in Food Safety inspections and documentation.
• Execute the Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Obtain forklift certification or demonstrate the ability to qualify.
• Operate aerial lifts and material handling equipment.
• Assess equipment reliability and perform routine maintenance.
• Complete all shift-related documentation accurately.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to product quality through standard checks and related duties.
• Ensure safety, quality, and food safety in the work area.

• Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment.
• Capability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Adaptability to varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and schedules.
• Proficient in English communication.

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years of experience in a technical or trade discipline.
• Competency in computer applications, including MS Office.
• Understanding of inventory control principles.

Salary range: $15.30 - $18.00 USD, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and profit-sharing. A comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.

Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO annually, 13 paid holidays, and paid sick leave. Eligible employees may also take paid parental leave.
