Position Summary:

The Sanitation Technician plays a vital role within the plant's operational team, executing various general labor tasks. Responsibilities encompass janitorial duties, sanitation processes, and equipment operation, ensuring efficiency and adherence to operational standards.

This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills to facilitate collaboration and support site objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all assigned tasks within designated areas.
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and address issues at the root cause level.
  • Implement food safety and sanitation initiatives as directed.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team.
  • Assist in managing waste and recycling processes.
  • Participate in food safety inspections and documentation.
  • Execute the Master Cleaning Schedule diligently.
  • Obtain forklift certification or demonstrate the ability to qualify.
  • Operate aerial lifts and material handling equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment reliability and perform routine maintenance.
  • Complete shift documentation accurately.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to product quality through standard checks.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and food safety standards in the work area.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Engage in physical activities such as bending, lifting (up to 55 lbs), and climbing.
  • Adapt to varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and schedules.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of experience in a technical or trade discipline.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles.

Compensation and Benefits:
