We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail and Hospitality Leader to join our team at Tommy Bahama. As a Marlin Bar Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Retail and Marlin Bar team, driving sales and service success, and creating a learning and nurturing environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Create a positive and productive work environment that promotes sales and service success, and internal career growth.
- Team Management: Develop and implement strategies to increase qualified applicants, hire, develop, and mentor store and Marlin Bar team members.
- Operations: Manage restaurant expenses, develop and streamline restaurant processes, and maintain the upkeep of the Marlin Bar restaurant.
- Customer Service: Build strong sales and service relationships with guests through inspiring and motivating the team into action.
- Marketing: Proactively seek out marketing opportunities and outreach within the community to increase brand awareness and store exposure.
- Merchandising: Lead and direct the merchandising process in conjunction with the floor merchandiser to ensure consistent and appropriate execution of the visual merchandising philosophy and seasonal guidelines.
- Experience: 8+ years retail and/or hospitality experience, 2+ years management team supervision, and 2+ years' experience in hospitality highly desired.
- Skills: Computer-based skills including Windows and Microsoft Office, Point of Sale System, Internet/Intranet, and Outlook e-mail.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently, bending/stooping/kneeling required frequently, climbing ladders occasionally, routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours), and possible travel for training and assisting at other Tommy Bahama locations.
