Job Summary

As a Child Disability Evaluator at Equus Workforce Solutions, you will play a critical role in evaluating children's cases and making informed decisions about their eligibility for Social Security benefits. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Social Security and Medical Assistance cases to determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Review certified cases and prepare letters or Vocational Reports in a timely manner.
  • Review all incoming medical records and applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare Counselor denial letters for daily cases due to insufficient information.
  • Assist with phone calls to client providers and case workers as needed.
  • Review cases after approval by MD/PHD and prepare closing summaries.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Specializing in disability determinations for children.
