Role Overview:
As a School Psychologist in Kingston, you will provide psychological support, counseling, and work closely with school staff to enhance students social, emotional, and academic development.
Core Responsibilities:
- Student Evaluations: Conduct assessments to understand students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- IEP Team Collaboration: Partner with IEP teams to design supportive plans for students with specialized needs.
- Counseling Services: Offer individual and group counseling to help students navigate social and emotional challenges.
- Collaboration with Educators: Work closely with teachers and families to ensure effective student support.
- Mental Health Support: Advocate for mental health resources and provide training on emotional and behavioral support.
- Crisis Response: Assist with crisis management to maintain student safety.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Certification: Eligible for Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification.
- Experience: Preferred experience in schools, but new graduates are welcome.
- Skills: Expertise in child development, assessments, and teamwork.
