Job Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the ENT/Ortho Surgical Specialties department. As a RN, you will provide direct patient care to assigned patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patients in ENT/Ortho Surgical Specialties, including post-operative care and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
  • Valid RN License.
  • One (1) year of Registered Nursing experience by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years of nursing experience with current BLS.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The RN must be able to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, and work in a variety of settings, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency departments.
