Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport and deliver building materials to designated locations, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the vehicle and equipment, reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance to the appropriate personnel.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to dealers, distribution centers, and construction job sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of building materials.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett, verifying the entire content load prior to leaving the manufacturing facility or job site.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods, including the use of safety equipment and adherence to company safety policies.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A License: Possess a valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record.
  • Commercial Truck Driving Experience: Have at least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience, or equivalent military experience.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
  • Multi-Drop Delivery Experience: Have experience with multi-drop delivery, which is a plus.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Be able to work independently or as part of a team, with the ability to plan and manage time efficiently.
