Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a dynamic research and extension network for integrated weed management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data and write research results for publication in scholarly peer-reviewed journals and extension publications.
- Manage and analyze large agronomic and weed ecology datasets generated from multi-state research projects and long-term datasets from cropping systems experiments.
- Lead grant writing efforts and develop independent but related lines of research.
- Collaborate with the GROW project team to advance the field of integrated weed management.
Requirements
- PhD in Weed Science, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Precision Agriculture, or related fields.
- Excellent organizational and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated record of research productivity documented with peer-reviewed publications.
- Expertise in weed ecology and population dynamics, multi-tactic weed management, agronomic crop production, agroecology, data science, and statistics.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.
