About the Position:
The Penn State University Northeast Center of Excellence for Pavement Technology (NECEPT) is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team. As a Postdoctoral Scholar, you will play a key role in supervising research projects related to pavement materials, working closely with graduate students, and contributing to the development of innovative research papers.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor graduate students in research projects.
- Analyze data and write technical reports for research project sponsors.
- Develop novel and innovative research papers.
- Collaborate with Penn State faculty on research projects.
- Write research grant proposals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Civil Engineering, with a focus on asphalt pavement materials research. They must also have demonstrated knowledge and experience with performance testing, sustainability, and recycling through well-established journal publications. Additionally, they must have a strong knowledge of asphalt mixtures, asphalt binders, and characterization techniques and testing of pavement materials. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills are also required.
