Role Responsibilities:

As a Lead Aviation Project Planner, you will spearhead comprehensive airport planning and environmental assessments. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Updating Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans.
  • Conducting environmental planning projects.
  • Facilitating collaboration with clients, FAA, MnDOT agencies, and community stakeholders.

Location: This position offers flexibility and may be based out of any of our Twin Cities offices.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Airport Management, Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in developing detailed Airport Master Plans, Airport Layout Plans, and environmental documentation for airports.

Essential Skills:

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars 150/5070-6B for Airport Master Plans and 150/5300-13B for Airport Design.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A commitment to quality assurance and task completion.
  • The capability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative spirit within a team environment.
  • A valid driver's license, with occasional travel to project sites and agencies.
