Providence, Rhode Island, United States Care New England Health System Full time

The Care New England Health System is seeking a Clinician/RN - Community Diversion to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining relationships with Providence EMS/Fire and Police Departments by performing clinical and administrative functions under the direction of the Supervisor.

This role involves providing triage and assessment services for individuals experiencing psychiatric or substance-related crises in the community. You will work closely with community agencies, police departments, fire departments, and other first responders to provide education and training on behavioral health issues.

A crucial aspect of this position is outreach to referred individuals who have experienced behavioral health events, coordinating services with behavioral health providers, and facilitating collaborative relationships with fire, police, and first responders.

This is a per diem opportunity, requiring flexibility to provide services within the timeframe and schedule required to support the Fire/EMS Department and the needs of the community.

Requirements for this role include a Master's Degree in a Human Services field or RN licensure, two years of relevant experience working with the psychiatrically disabled population, and insured auto coverage.
