- Product Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the product line, understanding its functionality and identifying any potential defects that could impact performance.
- Inspection Procedures: Conduct initial production verifications at the start of each order and shift.
- Visual Inspections: Perform required visual checks at the beginning of each shift and at specified intervals, alerting the Manufacturing Coordinator of any defects.
- Data Management: Utilize data acquisition software to determine necessary gauging during production runs to maintain quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records in the data acquisition system throughout the production process.
- Part Inspection: Inspect components on conveyor belts and in containers during the shift, conducting liner inspections as needed.
- Material Support: Assist the Material Technician in ensuring WIP hoppers are adequately stocked with parts.
- Glue Tank Monitoring: If applicable, regularly check glue tank levels to ensure sufficient supply for operations.
- Packaging: Properly package and handle products according to assigned manufacturing specifications.
- Scrap Management: Accurately document scrap materials and dispose of them in designated containers.
- Machine Operations: Support machine startups, shutdowns, and line clearances while minimizing downtime.
- Workstation Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized by following good housekeeping practices.
- Training: Assist in training new associates and perform additional duties as required.
- Lean and Safety Participation: Engage in Lean initiatives and safety programs.
- Food Safety Compliance: Follow all applicable food safety and cGMP policies.
- Hard Skills: Experience in a production environment, material handling, and inspection processes.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective teamwork, and excellent communication abilities.
This position is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.
Work EnvironmentContractors will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and various equipment with vibration. Hearing protection is required due to noise levels. The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and offers good air quality.
Shifts/ScheduleShifts are structured as follows:
- Day Shift: 6am - 6pm
- Night Shift: 6pm - 6am
Pay rates vary by shift, with opportunities for evaluations and pay increases.
