Senior Operations Research Analyst

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Research Analyst to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting and participating in analytical studies and assessments using various tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and participate in short-notice and long-term analytical studies and assessments using qualitative, spreadsheet, and computer simulation-based analyses.
  • Develop and lead analysis plans for trade-off studies of Air Force combat aircraft and weapon requirements, modernization, and new acquisitions.
  • Utilize available data, subject matter expert knowledge, and best judgment to create and maintain input data for Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) and other computer simulations.
  • Run AFSIM and analyze output data, verifying and validating results and adjusting simulation inputs as required.
  • Present analysis of simulation output, including insights, conclusions, and recommendations, in written documents and verbal briefings for review by Air Force decision makers.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as a subject matter expert on AFSIM, air combat analysis, and SAF/SA analytic capability.
  • Complete computer-based and in-person training as required by the government and company policy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mathematics, computer science, or operations research with at least 3 years' experience or a Master's degree with 2 years' experience.
  • Current Top-Secret clearance and experience with Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) or Brawler Air Combat Simulation.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of modern combat aircraft, other airborne systems, and weapons employment in engagement, mission, and campaign level simulations.
  • Experience developing study plans, collecting and establishing input data, conducting risk analysis, and model manipulation and modification.
  • Experience in programming in C/C++, Fortran, R, Python, MATLAB, and SQL.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must have a current/active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
