- Compensation for this role ranges from 54.00 to 64.80 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Job Summary:
- The Laboratory Science Specialist position is situated within our Client's Toxicology Laboratories. The role is essential in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, particularly those set forth by the California Department of Health regarding clinical specimen testing.
- This job description is subject to periodic review and may be adjusted by management as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory analyses in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments as necessary.
- Record calibration outcomes for all laboratory testing equipment as required.
- Maintain and clean laboratory equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to Unlicensed Testing Personnel and new staff as needed.
- Participate in seminars and pursue training opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and fulfill state licensing continuing education requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Must possess a valid license from the state of California as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist, Toxicologist, or Chemist).
