Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise into the conduct of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and GCP guidelines.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external medical professionals, including local opinion leaders.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement to ensure successful execution of research protocols.
- Lead and oversee a team of researchers and clinical staff involved in the conduct of clinical trials.
- Evaluate study volunteer eligibility, perform physical exams, and assess study patient health through interviews and physical examinations.
- Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals, and review diagnostic reports to provide clinical direction to the study team.
- Current medical license in the state of hire.
- Current board certification in Gastroenterology.
- Completed a three-year residency in an accredited gastroenterology program.
- Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and biopharmaceutical sponsors.
- Ability to work closely with a team of medical professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and leadership qualities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous clinical research experience preferred (at least 2 years).
