Position Overview:

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a dedicated Production Technician to contribute to our operations at the commercial corn and soybean production facility. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to general plant functions and potential field tasks that adapt with the changing seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety as the foremost concern.
  • Act as a 100% Safety Steward for a designated program.
  • Support a business-first approach to operations.
  • Oversee processes including receiving, conditioning, packaging, and harvesting to enhance material flow and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with established Quality Plans.
  • Ensure availability of direct materials for processing orders.
  • Assist in managing both bulk and packaged seed inventories.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workplace.
  • Complete operator preventative maintenance tasks promptly.
  • Facilitate proper training for employees on assigned duties and equipment.
  • Coordinate workflow and resource allocation between shifts and departments.
  • Encourage effective communication within and across shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or commitment to obtain GED within one year of employment.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments (field, plant, warehouse).
  • Ability to work at heights and in varied conditions.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime during peak seasons.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
