Manufacturing Technician

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a dedicated Production Technician to contribute to our operations at the commercial corn and soybean production facility. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to general facility operations and seasonal field activities.

The production facility operates under a demanding schedule, particularly during peak seasons, which may require extended hours and shift rotations. Flexibility in work hours is essential to meet production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize safety as the foremost concern in all operations.
• Act as a Safety Steward for assigned programs.
• Facilitate the efficient flow of materials through various processes including receiving, conditioning, packaging, and warehousing.
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with established Quality Plans.
• Manage inventory levels of bulk and packaged seed, assisting with product movement as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
• Provide training to employees on job responsibilities and equipment operation.
• Coordinate with team members to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Encourage effective communication within and between shifts.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or willingness to obtain GED within one year of employment.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in diverse environments including field, plant, and warehouse settings.
• Capability to work at heights and remain in various positions for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed during peak periods.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
