The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our emergency department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and registered nurses in providing technical care to patients, including phlebotomy, patient transportation, and vital sign monitoring.
- Document patient information and procedures, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Process patient charges and maintain accurate records in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians to facilitate patient care, and coordinate communications through various channels.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to department safety policies and standard precautions.
- Monitor equipment and troubleshoot minor issues, arranging repairs for major malfunctions.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
- Nurse Aide certification in good standing, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic license issued by the state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- High School Graduate.
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently during work shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
- Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, and blood and body fluids hazards on a continuous basis.
