Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Test Engineer to spearhead the testing efforts for our cutting-edge autonomy software. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance in our software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for autonomy software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Maintain and oversee the autonomy and robotics lab, including facilities and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain testbeds and autonomy payloads.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform regression testing, stress testing, and performance testing to validate software stability and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on autonomy software or related fields.
  • Experience in maintaining and managing autonomy and robotics labs.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of test engineers.
  • Research experience in Markov Decision Process, Control, and Reinforcement Learning applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or Java.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Our benefits package includes 401K, Health/Life/Disability Insurance, and annual bonus awards based on company and individual performance.
