Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Food Lion Center Store Specialist to join our retail operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining store standards, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth within the center store department.

About Our Mission:

At Food Lion, our mission is to provide an easy, fresh, and affordable shopping experience to our customers. We strive to create a positive shopping experience for our customers while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment for our associates.

Main Duties:

  • Provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department.
  • Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
  • Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves.
  • Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances.
  • Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
