Job Title: Experienced Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team in East Saint Louis, MO.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of our company.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other medical procedures
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Casual, PRN, and part-time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.

PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
