About the Role

Skydio is a leading US drone company and a world leader in autonomous flight technology. We're seeking a skilled Camera Reliability Engineer to join our Camera Hardware Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop reliability requirements and test conditions for camera modules and sensors.
  • Collaborate with module vendors and internal teams to drive failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with system reliability teams to understand and convert system requirements into module-level reliability requirements.
  • Perform failure analysis, identify root causes, and implement process/design mitigations.
What We're Looking For
  • Comprehensive understanding of design and process challenges involved in developing highly reliable miniaturized camera modules.
  • Proven ability to perform DOE, statistical analysis, and demonstrate failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with metrology tools and quantitative measurement methodology.
  • Prior experience working with subcontract manufacturing partners and remotely driving FA and improvement efforts.
