About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineering Subject Matter Expert to join our team at MITRE. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving innovative solutions, thought leadership, and evidence-based recommendations to support the Intelligence Community (IC) in delivering critical services and benefits to our mission partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and Technical Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive program and technical strategies to support the Data Center Management Division in its mission to modernize technical processes and conduct future forecasting analysis.
  • Information Technology System Configuration and Architecture: Provide subject matter expertise in information technology system configuration and architecture, as well as familiarity with technical processes, implementation, and documentation support.
  • Technical Expertise and Cross-Directorate Coordination: Leverage technical expertise and coordinate across directorates to schedule TEMS as the Data Center Management Division implements strategic plans to transform data center operations and procedures.
  • Technical Analysis and Documentation: Conduct technical analysis of IT architecture requirements supporting data center fit-out and the migration of mission and COMM systems from legacy data to new modern data center offerings.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data architectures supporting systems operating in data centers and develop technical engineering reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
  • Clearance and Polygraph: Possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance and be willing to obtain a polygraph.
  • Education and Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of information technology system configuration and architecture, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience with data analysis of architectures supporting systems operating in data centers.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph, degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a technical equivalent, knowledge of current Commercial Cloud and Data Center technologies and practices, and a working understanding of space systems and how they interact with ground systems.
