**The Job:** Insurance Billing Specialist

**Salary:** $26.00/hr DOE

**Job Description:**

A leading insurance provider is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to maintain their in-house billing system using MS Access. This is a cyclical position, and previous insurance-related experience is highly beneficial in getting acclimated to this business. A small business mindset is ideal for this role.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and update the in-house billing system using MS Access to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Process client invoices, payments, and account adjustments in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate billing information and contract details
  • Review and reconcile account discrepancies, communicating effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Assist in the implementation of new billing processes and system upgrades as needed
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards related to billing practices
  • Other duties as required

**Requirements:**

  • Experience using MS Access
  • Billing and data reconciliation experience with a strong attention to detail
  • Previous small business and insurance experience
  • Type 30 words per minute
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects
