Job Description

Hitachi Rail is seeking a skilled PSG Technician to join our team in Honolulu, HI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Platform Station Gate (PSG) system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor PSG system components and devices to detect potential failures and identify causes of malfunction.
  • Respond to PSG malfunctions and complete repairs as assigned.
  • Utilize electronic test equipment and specialized tools to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and submit operational, equipment failure, safety, and other reports as required.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to Safety Rules, Operating Rulebook, and first-aid procedures.
  • Work flexible hours, including shift rotation, weekends, and holidays, typical of major infrastructure projects and operating transit systems.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of experience in electronic/mechanical equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to use and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturers' maintenance instructions, and Operating Rulebook.
  • Knowledge of safety rules regarding lock-out protection while working on the line and rules governing the protection of traffic.
