Job Summary:

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Orthoptist to provide technical support for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disorders in patients of all ages. The successful candidate will work under the general direction of an ophthalmologist and in accordance with established departmental and professional standards, guidelines, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive and specialized ophthalmic examinations.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and communicate test results and prepare recommendations for patient treatment and management.
  • Implement treatment programs and conduct follow-up for designated patients.
  • Provide support for ophthalmology resident training program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in Orthoptics and six months of related work experience.
  • Current certification as an Orthoptist by the American Orthoptic Council (AOC) or equivalent level of certification from an accredited foreign program.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
