Lead Electronic Lock Specialist

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity to lead our team of locksmiths and electronic access control installers in Humble Independent School District. As a Lead Electronic Lock Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing high-level maintenance and repair tasks associated with manual and automated locks, locking systems, security devices, and computerized access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install new equipment or replacement parts according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
  • Supervise the team, schedule work, maintain completion timelines, and enforce strict safety practices to assist in attaining district goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient project planning and execution.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, preferably with an Associate Degree in a closely related field.
  • Locksmith certification or the ability to obtain one within the first year.
  • Genetec STC and OTC certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year.
  • A valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
  • The ability to clear a criminal background check and undergo random drug testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and complex wiring schemes.
  • Proficiency in SQL, active directory servers, and PoE camera hardware.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • A strong understanding of applicable code requirements, including fire exits, ADA, and door hardware regulations.
  • Experience working with complex access control systems and software.
Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a 261-day work schedule. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
