Practical Nursing Specialist

Maxim Healthcare Services is in search of a dedicated Practical Nursing Specialist to take on the essential role of ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while adhering to the nursing process. The Practical Nursing Specialist will be responsible for making informed clinical decisions efficiently under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employs the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
  • Identifies signs and symptoms that indicate physiological and psychosocial changes in patients' conditions.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data from healthcare team members, documenting nursing diagnoses as needed.
  • Records the patient's care plan using established nursing diagnoses, anticipated patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
  • Executes interventions based on identified priorities, care plans, and hospital policies to achieve patient care standards.
  • Modifies care plans based on evaluations, changes in medical directives, and the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
  • Utilizes clinical judgment to prioritize patient care needs within an assigned unit or floor.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned related to the Practical Nursing Specialist role.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state of practice.
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray documentation.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Preferred: One year of prior experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Essential Skills:

  • Pediatric care expertise.
  • Bowel and bladder management proficiency.
  • Experience with Foley catheterization.

Work Schedule:

  • Availability: Sunday to Saturday.
  • Shifts: 11 AM to 2 PM.
  • Employment Types: Full-time, Part-time, and PRN opportunities available.
