Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IPTW Structural Welder to join our fabrication team at Matrix Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding functions per job specifications, selecting equipment, and planning layout and assembly of welding. The ideal candidate will have prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment and be certified in 3 of the following processes: GMAW/FCAW - 6G, GTAW - Position - 2G & 5G or 6G, SMAW - Position - 2G 3G or 6G, and SAW - Position - 1G - Flat.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding functions per job specifications
  • Select equipment and plan layout and assembly of welding
  • Work closely and interact with supervision and QA/QC
  • Work with precise limits and standards of accuracy

Requirements:
  • Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment
  • Certified in 3 of the following processes: GMAW/FCAW - 6G, GTAW - Position - 2G & 5G or 6G, SMAW - Position - 2G 3G or 6G, and SAW - Position - 1G - Flat
  • Mathematical skills
  • Knowledgeable in understanding and utilizing various blueprint drawings

Working Conditions:
  • Must be willing to work frequent overtime
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.
