Job Summary:

VibrantCare Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist or occupational physician. Your primary focus will be on the Onsite Athletic Training programs, where you will participate in the coverage of onsite prevention services, injury triage, and prevention training for our designated customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a safe and supportive environment that aligns with VibrantCare's values and objectives.
  • Employ initiative and ingenuity to develop and implement effective prevention programs for rehabilitation of injured workers.
  • Perform selected measurement procedures, such as Jamar grip strength testing, range of motion, and vital signs, without interpretation.
  • Apply first aid triage and red flag principles as indicated by employee presentation.
  • Advocate for ergonomic and body mechanic changes to promote worker safety through job coaching.
  • Develop early intervention and preventative programs to reduce worker injuries.
  • Utilize and offer educational services to employees to promote injury prevention.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies, brochures, and other materials that align with your clinical expertise.
  • Consult with operations managers to verify the status of injured workers on modified duty.
  • Modify intervention procedures as indicated by patient response within the limits of specified first aid and OSHA guidelines.
  • Document patient response to interventions on the training log and track relevant metrics.
  • Ensure employees are referred to the medical clinic at appropriate intervals based on ATC practice act.
  • Establish and maintain prevention or intervention files for each employee seeking services in the Wellness Center.
  • Determine the effectiveness of prevention programs and adapt as necessary.
  • Administer proper athletic training techniques to decrease the risk of injury.
  • Assist in determining when a symptomatic employee can safely return to work.
  • Assist in establishing specific conditioning exercises and programs to promote injury prevention.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree required.
  • Minimum one year clinical experience.
  • National Athletic Trainers Association certification.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the workday/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.

Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift.

Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.

Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.

Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and in the community.

Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for treatment.

Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
