Job Summary

We are seeking a highly engaged and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Security Officer. This part-time position will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees, as well as maintaining a high level of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates.
  • Reduce the opportunity for the commission of crimes through preventive patrol and high visibility of security throughout the premises.
  • Promote and preserve the peace on premises to assure a comfortable and non-threatening environment for guests and employees.
  • Aid individuals who are in danger of physical harm or in need of medical attention.
  • Respond to emergencies as prescribed in Emergency Service Procedures.
  • Assure the security of guest and employee information.
  • Complete Daily Activity and Incident Reports.
  • Assist in developing and presenting security-related programs.
  • Review and edit written records produced by Security Officers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior hospitality or purchasing experience preferred.
  • At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Two years of Security or Police (military or civilian) experience, preferably with exposure to the hotel environment.
  • Two years of college in a safety, security, or hospitality-related discipline.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • First Aid/CPR certification, preferably with instructor rating.
  • High-quality written and oral communication skills.
