The K9 Security Officer is expected to uphold company and departmental standards to foster a secure atmosphere while delivering outstanding customer service in line with the Forbes Five-Star criteria and Wynn Resorts Core Values.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional service to guests and team members, maintaining the high standards of Wynn and Encore.
  • Adhere to Forbes Five-Star standards to preserve the integrity of the Wynn and Encore experience while promoting hotel amenities and services.
  • Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all individuals on the property.
  • Conduct property patrols, respond to service requests, and collect guest information related to security matters.
  • Manage crowd control and oversee incident scenes effectively.
  • Provide basic medical assistance as per departmental training guidelines.
  • Perform identification checks to ensure compliance with legal and company regulations.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
  • Communicate effectively via radio and telephone.
  • Stay informed about gaming, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Security Manager and other security personnel to implement security measures and policies.
  • Care for and train the canine according to company protocols, ensuring its safety, health, and well-being.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kennel, including waste management, while monitoring the health and behavior of the canine.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, for effective communication and scheduling.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records and performing various administrative tasks to support operational efficiency.
  • Ability to address patron concerns and operational challenges while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel operations.
  • Attention to detail in executing essential job functions.
  • Physical capability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
  • Possession of a valid Nevada Gaming License, CPR certification, and Alcohol Awareness certification (CPR certification to be completed post-hire).
  • Commitment to attending and successfully completing annual training and certifications relevant to job responsibilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
