Job Title: Analyst/Programmer (Junior/Intermediate/Advanced)Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst/Programmer to join our team at the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education. As a key member of our Information Technology team, you will be responsible for analyzing and programming complex software databases and customer interfaces. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software programs using various programming languages and technologies
  • Analyze and troubleshoot software configurations to ensure data reliability and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain user interfaces and user experience
  • Work with business analysts to translate system requirements into prototypes
  • Plan and design system and application architecture
  • Investigate new techniques and technologies for the development of ACPE efforts
Requirements:
  • Two (junior AP range 18), four (intermediate AP range 20) or six (senior AP range 22) years of related experience OR a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the equivalent of those essential duties of the job
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including SQL server/SQL database/SQL query, active directory, IIS, etc.
  • Relational database and reporting concepts, applications, and database security
  • Object-oriented programming, PowerShell, C#, ASP.Net Web applications, CMS, HTML, Visual studio, and other scripting languages
  • Job schedulers, automation, and batch processing
  • Skills in: Project and organization management, technical report writing, interpersonal skills
