Role Summary:

The MRI Technologist reports to the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, responsible for the operation of a magnetic resonance imaging system to produce diagnostic images for physicians. Key responsibilities include:
  • Choosing suitable imaging techniques.
  • Managing console and associated hardware.
  • Inputting and overseeing patient data.
  • Transferring images for medical evaluation.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist Program, including required clinical hours.
  • Experience: Proven experience and proficiency relevant to the position.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Must possess ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification or be eligible for advanced registration (must obtain within 18 months). BLS - Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Additional Skills & Knowledge:

    • Proficient in IV Insertion

    • Strong understanding of medical imaging technology, cross-sectional anatomy, and 3-D imaging.
  • Working Conditions:

    • Ability to operate equipment, lift, and assist patients.

    • Prolonged periods of standing or walking.

    • Capability to manage high-pressure scenarios.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT - Advanced registry (MRI).
