Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to join our team at Knowhirematch. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for leading field survey operations and ensuring the successful completion of construction, topographic, and control survey projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys and layout activities as directed by project team
  • Perform review tasks (QA/QC) for 3D modeling and grading
  • Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project team
  • Assign and monitor work, providing input for evaluation of field survey crew members
  • Instruct and train survey crew in survey and mapping methods, equipment use, and field safety procedures
  • Gather field survey data using conventional and GPS methods
  • Prepare field notes and drawings
  • Perform complex surveying calculations using engineering calculator and laptop computer
  • Prepare finished grade sheets, topographic maps, records of survey, and other survey reports
Requirements
  • Developing understanding of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations
  • Good cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team
  • Good math skills, including algebra and trigonometry
  • Technical school diploma/certificate in a related program a plus
  • Valid Driver's License required
