Key Responsibilities:- Measure and record vital signs, identifying abnormal values and reporting to nursing staff or medical providers.
- Assist with patient arrival, scheduling appointments, and facilitating a smooth patient exit from the clinic.
- Recognize emergencies and respond accordingly, adhering to organizational policy and procedure.
- Provide comfort needs for patients, considering age and special needs.
- Maintain clinic equipment, supplies, and linens, stocking exam rooms and tables as needed.
- Collect, prepare, and secure laboratory specimens for testing or transport when necessary.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of general medical terminology, hospital policies, and Joint Commission and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
