Chemical Dependency Counselor Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team at West Oaks Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients struggling with chemical dependency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate daily clinical care for patients in the Chemical Dependency Program
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to support treatment and discharge planning
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual and group therapy sessions
  • Provide education and advocacy to patients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Psychology or related field
  • LCDC or LCDC-I licensure
  • CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications
  • One to three years of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting
