About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to join our team at Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. in our Boston office. As an Air Quality Project Manager, you will play a key role in evaluating and presenting information regarding emissions from proposed processes and equipment in support of state and federal permit applications and regulatory compliance reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and present information regarding emissions from proposed processes and equipment
  • Assist clients with sustainability reporting and achieving Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) goals
  • Perform engineering calculations and compile permit application documents
  • Prepare compliance reports and meet with clients to obtain and understand project information
  • Communicate with regulatory personnel and evaluate control technologies and emission reduction options for client facilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related fields
  • Experience with emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and compliance reports
  • Experience in Project Management of air quality permitting and compliance projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 8+ years consulting, compliance, or industry experience
  • Knowledge of USEPA air quality regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of New Source Review procedures
  • Experience with Best Available Control Technology analyses
  • Familiarity with air compliance needs of the natural gas, manufacturing, and power industries
  • Familiarity with ProMax
  • Dispersion modeling experience using AERMOD
