HVAC Technician

RCL Mechanical is a locally owned and operated business that provides high-quality plumbing, AC, heating, and electrical services in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Bristol County and the South Shore Region.

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. As an HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings.

• Install and configure HVAC equipment, including air handlers, condensers, furnaces, and ductwork.
• Ensure all required materials, tools, and equipment are ready for the installation process.
• Review and comprehend HVAC system blueprints, specifications, design plans, and technical documents to facilitate accurate installations.
• Assemble and install electrical components, thermostats, and control systems, ensuring proper wiring and functionality.
• Conduct thorough inspections and registrations of installed systems to ensure compliance with company standards, local and state codes, and regulations.
• Perform operational tests on installed HVAC systems to verify functionality and efficiency.
• Provide customers with information and guidance on the operation and maintenance of newly installed HVAC systems.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices to enhance installation techniques and skills.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive interactions with clients.
• Obtain positive Google reviews from satisfied customers, contributing to the company's online reputation.
• Promote and encourage memberships to the Total Home Care Club to customers.
• Keep service vehicles clean and organized to reflect a professional image.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC program or relevant certifications.
• EPA 608 certification preferred but will be required during employment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Install Technician.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and refrigeration units.
• Familiarity with HVAC control systems and their components.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in HVAC equipment installation, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions up to and over 50lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks within deadlines.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
