Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Corporal to supervise the swing or midnight shift armed guards and provide security services at a U.S. Government location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of armed guards to ensure the security and safety of the facility and its personnel.
  • Participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions.
  • Carry out general and special orders for post assigned, conduct roving patrols, prevent installation breaches, and perform other OPSEC or security-related tasks.
  • Communicate via radio, telephone, and orally according to orders.
  • Interact with public and government personnel.
  • Provide access control and conduct walking armed security functions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.
  • Follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment.
  • Conduct personnel, building, and facility checks, and package and parcel inspection.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Not in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 U.S.C. 922.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
  • Successful record of two years supervising a minimum of 10 personnel.
  • Meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by the U.S. Army.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
