About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Leader to join our team in San Diego, CA or Oklahoma City, OK. This individual will lead the development of software solutions for embedded systems, working with real-time operating systems and flight-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developers in designing, implementing, and delivering software products as part of an Integrated Flight Control (IFC) system.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level software solutions using Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in a cloud-based environment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver software products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of experience in software development, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience with Agile software development, object-oriented programming, and software integration and testing.
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, Go, C++, C#, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, KornShell, and at least one Cloud technology and service provider (AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud).
  • An active Top Secret DoD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain program access.
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome candidates with experience in developing enterprise-level software solutions, Java microservices, Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications, threading, intermediate object-oriented programming, design patterns, Data Distribution Service (DDS) messaging, web technologies, Unified Modeling Language (UML), database essentials, and SQL/NoSQL.

The estimated salary range for this position is $107,300 - $160,900 per year, based on location and experience. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
