Overview:

About the Role:

This position will be located in San Diego, CA, and will involve working in an embedded technology environment to develop software for use in flight and mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and test software in an Agile software development environment.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams, including Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test.
  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience with BS, 3 years with MS, or 1 year with PhD.
  • Demonstrated professional experience with Agile Framework within the last 3 years.
  • Demonstrated professional experience developing software and scripts in C, Object-Oriented C++, AND/OR Python for Safety-Critical applications/Systems within the last 3 years.
  • Demonstrated professional experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as Atlassian tool suite, GitHub, GitLab, AND/OR Jenkins within the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Differentiating characteristics include demonstrated leadership, teamwork capabilities, strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems.
