Overview

Gecko Hospitality is a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona, offering stunning views of the Red Rock Country and the Grand Canyon. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Culinary Director to join our team.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $110,000 plus bonus and relocation assistance.

About the Job

The Senior Culinary Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's culinary execution, working closely with the executive chef to ensure consistency in all areas of the commissary operation. This includes monitoring and ensuring that company culinary standards and operating procedures are well maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all restaurants and bars culinary execution
  • Assistance to the executive chef in various areas
  • Human resource, financial, and administrative responsibilities as they pertain to direct reports
  • Creation of innovative menus, accurate costing for each item produced, and purchasing ingredients to maintain quality service levels at a reasonable cost

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience as a Senior Cook or equivalent experience as a Head Chef or Restaurant Manager/Supervisor
  • Knowledge of federal, state, local health codes; food safety certificate preferred
  • Strong leadership ability, excellent communication & customer service skills
  • Proven success with menu development & staff management, creative problem solver, attention to detail
  • Self-motivated & able to work independently with minimal supervision
