Systems Engineering Specialist

Position Overview:

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting various programs within DCS Corp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, functional analysis, and design solution development.
  • Utilize systems engineering methodologies to convert defined needs into performance metrics and identify system configurations.
  • Create and manage systems engineering documentation, processes, and milestones.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Systems Engineering Management Process as it pertains to the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition throughout all lifecycle stages.
  • Advise on critical programs and technologies, ensuring expert guidance is provided.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all technical dimensions of the assigned program.
  • Conduct high-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Translate military operational requirements into actionable system concepts and performance standards.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, and system interface requirements.
  • Engage in post-award reviews, design evaluations, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the lead engineer or technical authority.
  • Assess design initiatives to guarantee the integration of engineering disciplines and the thoroughness of analyses performed.
  • Examine test plans and reports for technical sufficiency on assigned programs, covering both Government and contractor evaluations.
  • Monitor system performance against established specifications and evaluate risks related to user requirements.
  • Initiate engineering change proposals and conduct configuration audits as necessary.
  • Review program management documentation to confirm the accuracy and sufficiency of technical content.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of customer requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • A DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering with the capability to lead engineering initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Equivalent experience that aligns with DAWIA Level II SPRDE certification is acceptable.
