Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a candidate with an expert-level understanding of SAFe Agile Scrum principles and practices. You should have a strong background in information technology and experience working within agile frameworks or methods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating and supporting all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
- Ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
- Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role
- Acts as a servant leader of the Agile Team and directs the initiative delivery team
- Partners with Product Managers to maintain plans and communicate progress of the team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Undergraduate degree, equivalent experience, or certification
- SAFe 6.0 Certification – SA, PO/PM, etc. (Scaled Agile)
- 7+ years' experience in information technology, including 5+ years applying Agile and Scrum principles within teams and/or organizations
- 5+ years' experience working within agile frameworks or methods, including techniques such as story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, etc.
- 5+ years' planning and problem-solving with product management and delivery teams
- 5+ years' creating and delivering presentations and project plans
- 2+ years' working with tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence), Microsoft M365 suite, and/or Cloud-based platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud)
We are looking for candidates with:
- Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
- Servant leadership experience as Scrum Master on an Agile Release Train
- Familiarity with product/project development experience on an Agile Teams in a technology-focused organization
- Ability to align change management strategies with product development/deployments
- Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
- Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
- Thrives in a highly collaborative, matrixed, complex, fast-paced environment
As a Scrum Master II at Marriott International, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the development of agile capabilities in the Global Technology organization and across Marriott's portfolio of products.
We offer a competitive salary range of $96,038 to $179,270 annually, as well as an annual bonus.
