Material Handling Forklift Operator

Position Overview:
We have openings for both Day and Night shifts.

Shifts are structured as 7:00 am - 7:30 pm for days, or 7:00 pm - 7:30 am for nights, alternating between three 12-hour shifts one week and four 12-hour shifts the next week.

This role requires working every other weekend, with alternating Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays off, plus two weekdays off each week.

The Forklift Operator, under the guidance of a supervisor, will be tasked with the efficient movement of
materials within the facility, ensuring safe operation of the forklift. Responsibilities include unloading raw materials
and relocating finished goods to their designated locations. Additional duties may be assigned by
management.

  • Efficiently identifies and transports required materials to and from various locations, including
machines, loading docks, railcars, trucks, and storage areas.

  • Reviews production schedules and/or shipping orders to accurately identify, verify, and
transport necessary raw materials, equipment, or processing supplies as needed.

  • Utilizes knowledge of machine loading capacities and schedules to ensure
timely and effective delivery of required items.

  • Employs protective materials and strapping equipment to secure loads; upon delivery, removes strapping and wrapping, and responsibly disposes of waste materials in designated areas.

  • Communicates any issues with materials or transportation to the supervisor.
  • Organizes and stacks drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified locations.
  • Conducts routine maintenance on equipment as necessary, reporting any mechanical or electrical issues to the maintenance team.

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
