Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation will be essential in ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and radiographic images
  • Translate examination information into layman's terms to alleviate patient anxiety
  • Position patients for radiographic imaging according to departmental standards
  • Recognize and report patient motor abnormalities to the Radiologist
  • Operate equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape
  • Ensure images are properly marked and labeled with correct date and patient identification
  • Key in patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition
  • Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
  • Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required
  • 1-3 years of technical experience, required
