At PriceSenz, we are seeking a highly skilled Informatics Developer to support the integration, curation, and analysis of various experimental and curated datasets. This role will play a crucial part in developing custom workflows, interpreting complex, large-scale datasets, and maintaining bioinformatics workflows and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities- Manage tasks in JIRA, including ticket creation, timeline updates, and regular collaboration with testers to ensure project closure.
- Lead the development and deployment of cheminformatics and bioinformatics workflows, including web and mobile apps.
- Design and implement features for our case reporting tool, expanding its functionality to accommodate a broader array of diseases.
- Utilize advanced knowledge in machine learning, statistics, natural language processing, and data science to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Code, test, debug, and install new programs using various programming languages such as R, Shiny, and Python.
- Collaborate with staff to develop database applications and tools supporting bioinformatics and scientific computing research.
- Document all assignments and create various reports as needed, including roadmaps, schedules, status reports, and plans.
- Provide guidance and problem resolution for users, ensuring successful use of scripts and programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, Data Processing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing tasks in JIRA and working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.
- Proficient in code management using GitHub, including working with multiple branches and merging code.
- Strong experience in software testing, data modeling, and database management.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as Jenkins, Travis, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cheminformatics and bioinformatics collaborative work.
