OBJECTIVE:
The Floral Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring a high-quality selection of floral products. This role involves overseeing the department's operations, maintaining inventory freshness, and ensuring customer satisfaction through superior service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Foster a welcoming environment that prioritizes customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist customers with product selections and provide expert recommendations.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to enhance customer interactions both in-store and over the phone.
  • Manage special orders and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Oversee the ordering of floral products and related supplies, ensuring optimal freshness and variety.
  • Plan and execute daily operations while adhering to company policies and profitability standards.
  • Design and prepare floral arrangements that meet company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with department standards regarding product quality and presentation.
  • Supervise and train department staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Implement safety and sanitation protocols within the department.
  • Participate in sales meetings to communicate performance metrics and sales strategies.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of floral products and handling techniques.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficient in operating relevant equipment and software.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily conducted in a controlled retail environment with exposure to refrigerated areas. Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.
